Who We Are

Hi I’m Cullen, the owner of Tailored Tails! Dogs and animals in general have always been a big part of my life. After 10 years chasing a career that never quite felt like the right fit, I found myself at a crossroads — and dogs were the direction I kept coming back to. With my wife by my side and a little more freedom to figure out what was next, I started walking and sitting dogs through Rover, which eventually led to a position as a professional dog trainer. That experience gave me more than just skills — it gave me a deep understanding of animal behavior, a network of people who share my passion, and a clearer picture of what I actually wanted to build.

The idea for this company came out of planning our own wedding! My wife and I knew we wanted our dogs Marv and Shirley to be part of the day, but we also knew we didn't want anyone — ourselves, our families, or our guests — to have to step away from the celebration to wrangle them. We wanted everyone to be fully present. Through my connections we coordinated having our friend, an excellent dog trainer, escort our dogs to our wedding for photos. She was amazing and now we have our dogs in our wedding photos forever. That experience planted a seed that’s been growing ever since, and its grown into Tailored Tails! We want to provide the same joy and stress free experience we had on our wedding day to others.

Client Reviews

“They were great with our high energy black lab. Reliable, communicated well, prompt. Would definitely recommend them!”

“Cullen was absolutely incredible. I was nervous how my Maisy girl would do since she’s a puppy and still learning the world. Prior to the first visit, Cullen was patient and wanted to know everything he could about Maisy and how to best help. The photos I received were wonderful and made me smile. I felt safe leaving my pup in their care. He goes above and beyond in every way!”

“They were very accommodating meeting up for the meet and greet. They made us feel extremely comfortable and were very attentive to our dog’s needs (he can be a handful sometimes). I could tell our dog, Brodie, was at ease and having a great time with Cullen! We would absolutely use them again and would easily recommend them!”
